All work entered into this category needs to have first been released – or be scheduled to be released – between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. This category welcomes entries featuring AI, AR and VR as well as traditional poster, billboard and ambient out of home campaigns which have a digital element and/or necessitate interaction from members of the public. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Best Use of Music in a Commercial Enter

Work entered into this category needs to have first been aired – or be scheduled for to first air – in cinemas, online or on TV between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. The category is for the best use of music in a commercial and the music can be either bespoke-made for the commercial campaign in question, or be a pre-existing track. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Best Use of Sound Design in a Commercial Enter

Work entered into this category needs to have first been aired – or be scheduled for to first air – in cinemas, online or on TV between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. The category is for the best use of sound design in a commercial. The audio must not have been released in any way or used in a commercial previously but must be specifically created for the purposes of the commercial in question. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Branded Entertainment of the Year Enter

Work for this category includes anything created between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. The definition of branded entertainment for the purposes of the shots Awards is that the brand has worked with content partners to create a film which deliver an interesting and engaging experience outside of a traditional TV/cinema commercial framework. The entries to this category can be for one-off films or a series of films that were released either together or over a period of time as part of one single campaign. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Charity/PSA Campaign of the Year Enter

Work entered into this category needs to have first released – or be scheduled to be released – between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. This category includes any work across any platform apart from radio which highlights support for a charitable organisation. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Work entered into this category needs to have first aired – or be scheduled to first air – online between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. Work for this category needs to have aired exclusively online. Charity/PSA campaigns are not eligible for Online Commercial of the Year. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Social Media Campaign of the Year Enter

Work entered into this category needs to have first released – or be scheduled to be released – between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. This category includes any campaign across any social media platform and would require a case study video to illustrate the campaign’s creative idea and execution. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

New Director of the Year Enter

Work for this category includes anything created between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. Entries can include up to three pieces of relevant work and can include aired commercials, test spots, music videos and short films of no more than 10 minutes. For aired work, all entries must be the final, aired version of the spots; director cut version are not permitted. In addition, the directors in question cannot have been working professionally within the industry before 1st January 2017. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Network Agency of the year Enter

All work entered into this category needs to already have aired or been published – or be scheduled to first air/be published – in cinemas, on TV, in printed publications, in outdoor sites or online between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. The category requires a minimum of three and a maximum of 8 relevant submissions for the agency in question to be considered for the award and all work must be from the same office, ie London, New York, Sao Paulo etc, and from an agency that is part of a holding company network. We do not accept work from multiple offices under one entry. Work can be submitted from any of the individual shots Awards categories to create an overview of work that includes film, digital, outdoor or press. Submissions would require the pieces of work in question, and any accompanying case studies. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Independent Agency of the Year Enter

All work entered into this category needs to already have aired or been published – or be scheduled to first air/be published – in cinemas, on TV, in printed publications, in outdoor sites or online between the dates of September 1st 2018 and August 31st 2019. The category requires a minimum of three and a maximum of 8 relevant submissions for the agency in question to be considered for the award and all work must be from the same office, ie London, New York, Sao Paulo etc, and from an independent agency not owned by a holding company network. We do not accept work from multiple offices under one entry. Work can be submitted from any of the individual shots Awards categories to create an overview of work that includes film, digital, outdoor or press. Submissions would require the pieces of work in question, and any accompanying case studies. Work entered into last year’s shots Awards will not be accepted to judge.

Music videos and short films of less than 10 minutes are allowed. All entries must be the final, aired version of the spots; director cut version are not permitted.
