Cinematographer
Jim started his career working up through the ranks of the camera department, working on feature films, TV dramas and TV commercials. His work as a camera operator gave him the knowledge and skill of composition and storytelling, which helped set him up for when he progressed to become a cinematographer.
Working alongside some great directors, Jim quickly established his own natural and cinematic style for which he won numerous accolades and awards.
His work has taken him across the globe, from shooting eagle hunters on the highest peaks of the Altai Mountains in western Mongolia, to living with a Masai Mara tribe in northern Tanzania, to learning Arctic survival skills from Sami tribes people in northern Lapland, to killing Chris Hemsworth for a documentary created by Darren Aronofsky.
Currently Jim is shooting a mix of long form work and TV commercials.
