Emnet Mulugeta is a director at Goodbye Kansas, based in Stockholm, Sweden. Eritrean-born Emnet has been a part of the advertising, design, animation and vfx community since 2000. Being a multi-faceted creative, he's worked as motion designer, creative director and live action director in the commercial and TV industry in Europe, gaining numerous awards such as Cannes Lions, Epica, The One show, Clio, amongst others.
This success led to recognition and work in the US, where he wrote and directed live action commercials and promos for FX, Showtime, HBO to name a few. After seven years in LA, Emnet returned to Sweden and shifted focus to gaming in 2018 to write and direct cinematic trailers for AAA studios. Some of Emnet's latest directing credits include Ubisoft's Skull & Bones, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Arkane's Redfall and PUBG Battlegrounds.
Passionate about storytelling, Emnet loves shaping epic visuals and intense action as well as crafting performances with actors. He is also an avid speaker at industry conferences, festivals and schools. Apart from being a film buff and a multilinguist, Emnet is passionate about capoeira, sci-fi and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of 80s and 90s hip hop.
