Morten Vinther is a Danish Director, VFX Supervisor and ECD at Harbor Picture Company. His career spans more than two decades across major VFX and design studios and several continents, before making Los Angeles his home in 2017. Vinther’s passion for storytelling shines through his body of work across advertising, gaming, animation and visual effects.
In addition to his award-winning VFX work, Vinther has directed a wide range of game cinematics, including the Clio Grand Award-winning cinematic for Sony PlayStation’s The Last of Us Part II and the Ciclope and Shots Award-winning short film for Morefun Studios, Arena Breakout. More recently, Vinther directed the opening cinematic for Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Vinther is constantly pushing the boundaries of technology to breathe life into authentic characters and worlds. A storyteller at heart, he enjoys extracting emotional performances from real-life actors and synthetic humans alike.
