Born and raised in New York, Amber Grace “Bam Bam”Johnson is a filmmaker striving to create work that makes you feel. To honor individuals and their truths all the while pushing the artistic and visual integrity to the best it can be. Her inventive storytelling & infectious youthful spirit has enabled work with brands Spotify, Prada, Mercedes Benz, Nike, Dior, J.Cole for Puma, H&M, A$AP Rocky for Under Armour, Hyundai, Rihanna’s Fenty, among others.
In 2020, she was nominated for AICP’s ‘Best New Director’ and Ad Age A-List & Creativity Awards ‘Director to watch.’
AGJ has directed music videos for FKA twigs & The Weeknd, Kali Uchis, Lolo Zouaï, and Jorja Smith (shortlisted for Best Urban Video, Best Production Design and Best Animation at the 2019 and 2020 UKMVAs).
She’s most passionate about original characters, anime, cinema, the underdog story, and a wild imagination. When not creating commercial work, she puts her soul into passion projects across narrative stories and music videos.
