Rani Zarina Vaz is the Executive Producer at RNDM ORDR Music & Sound. A native New Yorker and daughter of two concert violinists, Rani grew up backstage at Lincoln Center and in NYC’s recording studios. Her violin studies took her to Juilliard, performances at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Bargemusic, the Joffrey Ballet and in clubs throughout NYC.
Formerly SVP, Director of Music at BBDO NY, her work for GE, Pepsi, Pedigree, Guinness, Grey Goose, Visa, Mt. Dew, HBO and Starbucks has won all the industry’s highest honors, including two Emmy Awards, Cannes Lions, inclusion in The Guinness Book of World Records and MoMA. Rani chaired the LIA Music Jury, the AMP Awards and has been a juror for AICP, the Clios and Shots. A recipient of BBDO’s Founder’s Award, she served as a charter member of the agency’s Diversity Council and was inducted into the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers.
Throughout her years in the business, Rani has been passionate about mentoring young producers in order to nurture new talent and honor the incredible producers, creatives and composers she has been fortunate to learn from. Rani serves on the Board of Trustees of The School for Strings in NYC.
