Jon Day is an award winning producer and co-owner of Orange Films, one of South Africa’s leading production service companies. Over the past 25 years, Orange Films has delivered more than 500 productions spanning commercials, documentaries, television, music videos and branded entertainment, building an international reputation for creative excellence, rigorous production expertise and trusted on the ground service.

Jon produced Rise: The Siya Kolisi Story, winner of the Audience Award at the Tribeca Festival, and Origin: The Story of the Basketball Africa League, featuring Barack Obama and J. Cole, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before its global release on ESPN. He also produced and directed Zef: The Story of Die Antwoord, winner of the SAFTA for Best Documentary and more than 40 international awards and nominations.

His music video credits include work with Arcade Fire, Death Grips, Die Antwoord, Fokofpolisiekar, M83 and Spoek Mathambo, as well as service productions for Lily Allen, Royal Blood, The Script, Faithless, Nicolas Godin and Corinne Bailey Rae.

Through Orange Films, Jon has provided production services for a wide range of leading production companies, among them Biscuit, CANADA, Riff Raff, Smuggler, Business Club, New Land, Iconoclast, Object & Animal, Knucklehead, Tempomedia, Skunk, Czar, MJZ, Lovo Films and World War 7. 

He continues to work across original and service projects, bringing a practical, solutions-driven approach to productions of every scale.
