Nikolaj Belzer is CEO & Founder of OkayStudio, the award-winning independent post house headquartered in London with a creative hub in Berlin. As senior editor at the studio he has cut for award-winning directors including Femke Huurdemann, Builders Club, Juergen Teller, Roger Guardia and Billy Boyd Cape, on films for Hermes, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, EE, Lexus, On Running and Nike. Under his leadership, OkayStudio has secured British Arrows nominations, D&AD Pencils, and Ciclope Awards, building a reputation for craft that brings together exceptional colourists, editors, and an increasingly sophisticated VFX department.

Since co-founding OkayStudio in 2018 as one of the first post houses to thrive outside Soho's traditional boundaries, Nikolaj has championed a deliberately intimate model. In an industry obsessed with scale, he's proven that staying small is a creative strategy - where artists genuinely collaborate across disciplines, where craft decisions emerge from conversations not hierarchies, and where clients work directly with the people touching their films. This approach has built a collective of 20+ specialists who've delivered standout work for Nike, Kia, and the NFL, partnering with directors from Division Paris, Somesuch, and Riff Raff.

Nikolaj's path to the edit suite took him through a philosophy degree in Berlin, filmmaking at the London Film School, and international finance at ESCP Paris; a foundation that shaped his belief that exceptional craft requires both creative depth and commercial clarity. His multilingual fluency has been instrumental in positioning OkayStudio internationally, not just in established European markets, but increasingly across the US and other key territories, where boutique craft with global capability resonates with agencies, production companies and brands.

A recognised industry voice who has judged Ciclope 2024, AICP 2025 and the British Arrows Craft Jury 2026, Nikolaj champions intelligent automation that frees artists to focus on creative problem-solving, while fostering the interdisciplinary connections that define OkayStudio's culture.
