Ashok Karkala is an award-winning creative leader with over 16 years of experience in the Indian advertising industry. A driving force at Ogilvy Mumbai, India for over a decade, Karkala was recognised as one of India's hottest creative talents under 40. His philosophy centres on crafting advertising that resonates emotionally and is executed with precision. Further demonstrating his industry leadership, Karkala served on the jury of D&AD 2024, judging the Casting category.  

Partnering with Vinay Pawaskar, Karkala has cultivated a highly sought-after creative team within Ogilvy. Together, they've delivered impactful campaigns for leading brands including ITC Savlon, Fevicol Pidilite, Brooke Bond Tea, HUL Corporate, Vodafone, JSW Cement, Amazon, Nanhi Kali (KC Mahindra), Mahindra Corporate, Lenovo, and Bosch Home Appliances. 

Karkala's work has garnered over 100 awards, contributing significantly to Ogilvy India's success on the global stage. His accolades include a Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Creative Effectiveness (a first for India), D&AD Pencils, One Show awards, Spikes Asia awards, LIA (London International Award), Madstar (Korea) awards, and numerous national honours such as Kyoorius and Effies.
