Director of Photography/Director, Betti Berlin
Berlin-born and based Director of Photography, director, and photographer whose work bridges artistry, research, and technical craft. She is part of a new generation of visual storytellers shaped by a fast-moving world, yet her creative process is grounded in a slower, more deliberate search for meaning, searching for images that linger, reveal, and speak when words fall short.
Laura’s creative path began in painting, writing, and music, evolving into a fascination with how rhythm, light, and narrative can converge in moving images and still photography. Her academic journey reflects the same curiosity and dedication she brings to set: a Bachelor in Interface Design (Potsdam University of Applied Sciences), a Filmmaking Diploma (ESCAC, Barcelona), and a Master’s in Communication Design (Potsdam University of Applied Sciences), completed with an intensive research-based documentary film on “third places” as vital spaces for community and cultural exchange.
Visual storytelling is for her a form of lifelong learning. Each project is an opportunity to explore new subjects, cultures, and ways of working. She approaches every assignment with the same curiosity that drives her studies, blending deep research with instinctive, emotionally charged images.
For over a decade, Laura has freelanced across commercial, music, and documentary projects for global brands such as Apple, Adidas, Nike, Sony Music, Zalando, and IKEA. Her career has taken her across continents, where she thrives on capturing stories in diverse environments and cultures. Whether behind the camera or directing a vision, her focus remains the same: to uncover and craft images that carry emotional weight and lasting resonance.
