Executive Creative Director, BUTTER Music + Sound
A composer, arranger, jazz pianist and Yessian alumnus of over two decades, Dan Zank has scored a multitude of commercial and television projects since 2001. Since joining the BUTTER NY team as Executive Creative Director in 2022, Zank has spearheaded hundreds of original music and sound projects, including recording full orchestrations for Supercell with a symphony in Prague, as well as conducting on-set sessions with Kylie Jenner and Paris Hilton for Ulta Beauty. His compositions have been recorded or performed by the Budapest Film Orchestra, Bratislava Symphony Orchestra and Choir, Seattle Music Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Detroit Symphony and St. Louis Symphony orchestras, and he has worked in some of the most famed studios throughout the world, including recently with Abbey Road Studios in London and George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch in California.
He has also worked extensively in the themed entertainment and experiential industries, scoring attractions in multiple cities throughout the United States, the UAE, China, Singapore, Indonesia and Europe. Zank’s work as a composer and arranger has garnered awards including Clios, AICP Awards, New York Festival Awards, Addys, London International Awards, Tellys, AMP Awards and D Show Awards.
