Costume Designer, Freelance
Born and raised in Barcelona, Violeta Comella graduated in Costume Studies from La Llotja before beginning her professional career assisting established stylists and costume designers. With over 15 years of experience, she has developed a solid career both as a costume designer for film and television and as a commercial wardrobe stylist.
As a costume designer, her credits include collaborations with director Marc Crehuet on the series Pop Ràpid and the feature film El Rey Tuerto, nominated for Best new director at the Goya Awards in 2017. She has also contributed to numerous music videos, working with artists such as El Guincho and Rigoberta Bandini.
Her commercial work as a wardrobe stylist includes campaigns for Volvo, Apple, Orange, Axe, Nike or Cupra.
Among her most recent credits, the fashion film La causa del accidente que provocó el incendio (directed by Lope Serrano Sol) has received multiple international awards.
In addition to her creative work, Violeta serves as a board member of AAPPE (Asociación de Artistas Plásticos Escénicos y Audiovisuales de España), representing the audiovisual section.
